Stability Analysis of Retaining Walls with Geocell-Reinforced Road Milling Materials

A series of triaxial compression tests with different confining pressures were conducted for gravels, road surface milling materials, and surface–base mixtures to investigate the stress–strain relationships these three kinds materials. On basis analysis test results, strength deformation geocell-reinforced materials geocell-encased predicted compared those gravels via constitutive model geocell–soil composites. The effects geocell pocket size, tensile stiffness, peak internal frictional angle on responses examined. Moreover, by employing finite element reduction technique, stability was retaining wall factor safety failure mechanism structure. study results indicated that exhibited strain hardening, while softening. displayed evident shear contraction characteristics, whereas first later dilatancy features. In addition, is smaller than but larger gravels. Thus, can be used replace in engineering practices. Additionally, size sliding wedge walls increase significantly reductions size.
